Working towards a Victoria free from alcohol harms
What we're up against
Alcohol is addictive, causes cancer, and fuels family violence, suicide, and deadly crashes. While lives are lost, the alcohol industry continues to target kids and vulnerable people, and put profits before public health. Alcohol harms affect us all, and many struggle to access the treatment, care and support they need and deserve.
We're working to change that.

What we're calling for
We've made great progress, but there is still more to do.
Our focus areas

The full range of alcohol harms are prevented and minimised
By strengthening laws and regulations and increasing investment in prevention and early intervention, we can better protect Victorians, reduce alcohol harms, and take pressure off stretched health, emergency and social services.

People experiencing alcohol harms receive the treatment and support they need and deserve
By investing in a sustainable and integrated service system, we can ensure the treatment, care and support people need and deserve is affordable, accessible, timely, and matches their level of need.

Policymakers understand and work to reduce the harms of alcohol on individuals, families and communities
By engaging with policymakers across all levels of government and and advocating for evidence-based policy in ways that centre lived experience and effectively counter industry messaging, we can build public and political will for change.
